In our 35th “FREE”episode of “LIVING THE ALOHA LIFE”…We’ll be remembering and celebrating WILLIE K…Willie just passed on this week from a 2 year battle with Lung Cancer and was one of the largest musical influencers in Hawaii. Willie K just didn’t play Hawaiian and Jawaiian…He was the top Blues musicians in Hawaii, one of the best Rockers and also Gospel and Opera musicians. Willie was in a class of his own!
May Willie and his beautiful soul Rest in Peace…and it is there that he will continue his Song…
ATTACHED BELOW ARE A FEW VIDEOS OF WILLIE’S WORK…it’s a variety of works that have never been recorded and are only found on Youtube. ENJOY and please take the time to look for your own…

MAHALO for posting all of these YouTube videos so that we can get an extra dose of Willie K. I LOVED this podcast.. such a HUGE loss for the Hawaiian community and the music industry as a whole. The Uncle in Me has been one of our favorite go-to albums for a while now, of course Ku’uipo being one of my all time favorites. You are welcome…We plan on doing a HAWAIIAN/JAWAIIAN Music Podcast with all our Favorite Local Artists later on in the year…So maybe we’ll introduce many of you to new Artists within the Pacific!
Damn, just lost Kaulana Pakele of Mana’o Company on Monday night too! For those unfamiliar with the name, he was the lead singer of the band and Wayde uses their song “Spread A Little Aloha” as the podcast’s opening theme song.

Looks like another memorial episode coming up…this sux brah…We’ll be doing MYTHOLOGY HAWAII…but we’ll be playing EhuKai and Mana’o songs in memory!
Great podcast as always. This was a touching tribute and the music a nice representation of Willie’s vast body of work. Folks may have an artist they think is the best at this or that, but when you look at the many genres of music Willie mastered, he was one of a kind.
Mahalo for sharing your personal feelings and stories that made the episode more personal for us, your podcast ohana.
Welcome Larry…We just lost another last night at Makaha beach…it really sux!
